Who this is for

Nine vendors, no owner.

Organizations managing too many marketing vendors, or none at all.

The designer, the printer, the web person and the ad agency have never spoken to each other.

Every project stalls in the gap between two suppliers, and both of them think it’s the other one’s turn.

You’re doing the project management yourself, on top of running the business.

In detail

How we do it.

Fractional marketing leadership

A senior marketing leader on a part-time basis: setting direction, owning the plan, leading whoever executes it, and reporting to you in the terms you actually care about. It suits organizations that need marketing judgement at a senior level but don’t have the volume — or the budget — for a full-time marketing executive.

What that looks like in practice

A standing rhythm rather than ad-hoc advice: a regular leadership session, an owned marketing plan, a scorecard reviewed every month, direction given to your in-house team and outside suppliers, and one person accountable for whether the number moves.

Vendor and project coordination

If you’d rather keep your existing suppliers, we’ll manage them. Scope, schedule, specification, file handoffs, proofs and chasing — so you manage one relationship instead of nine, and the gaps between vendors stop being your problem.

Procurement and bid support

Help scoping a solicitation, preparing a response, or assembling the capability material a public buyer expects. We work inside public procurement ourselves, which means we know what those documents have to contain.

Training, so you need us less

Where you have an in-house marketer, a large part of the value is making them effective — process, tools, workflow, templates and the standing habits that keep marketing running when everyone gets busy.

How our consulting engagements work

Questions

Frequently asked.

What is a fractional CMO?

A senior marketing leader working with you part-time — typically a set number of days or hours a month — instead of as a full-time hire. You get executive-level marketing judgement and accountability at a fraction of the cost of the equivalent salary.

How is that different from hiring an agency?

An agency executes tactics. A fractional CMO decides which tactics deserve your money, leads whoever executes them — including your own staff and other suppliers — and is accountable for the result. We can do both, but they’re different jobs.

How much time does it take?

It varies with the size of the organization and how much is already in place. We’ll scope it honestly after the first conversation and give you an estimate.

Do we have to use you for execution?

No. If your existing suppliers are good, keeping them and having someone coordinate them is often the better answer. We’ll tell you if that’s the case.
